Spirit of Moonpie & I spent the 19th through the 20th on the Blackwater below the Steel Bridge VDGIF boat ramp on Rt. 603. We had planned on our typical 3-day adventure but the threat of rain and a fast rising river drove us off the river early.

Curtis Newsome opened the meeting and asked that John Bunch read the minutes from the previous monthly meeting. The minutes were read, Jeff Turner made a motion to adopt, seconded by Nancy Turner, and passed with no changes.
Spirit of Moonpie and I spent the 14th through the 16th on the Blackwater below Franklin. The water was clear, fast, 34 degrees and 7.27 on the USGS gauge.
Spirit of Moonpie and I spent the 5th through the 7th on the Blackwater above Joyners Bridge. The water was high at 9ft. on the USGS Gauge, clear, fast and 34 degrees, which is really cold.
