Spirit of Moonpie and I spent the 25th through the 27th on the Blackwater below Franklin. Air temps ranged from 60 to 85 degrees. The water was stagnant and like in the CCR song, green in a lot of places. Read more →

Spirit of Moonpie and I spent the 14th through the 16th on the Nottoway below Hercules. The water was clear and clean the first two days. Trash was very light and I only picked up a couple of bottles and a worm cup, which I’m pretty sure, I know which boat that came out of. Read more →

August 8th 2014 Blackwater Patrol

Spirit of Moonpie and I spent the 8th through the 9th on the Blackwater below Franklin. The water was running good and was 76 degrees. Air temps ranged from 82 to 66 degrees. The trip started off with an Eco-Cruise for the P3 Franklin Recycling group. Also onboard that day was Franklin City Manager Randy Martin. Read more →
